Well, the wheelbase is 105-115mm, the length itself will vary with the body you use. Yes you can drift like mad, and as far as potential, one member got his up to 56mph!

Here are two good links with detailed descriptions for the:

ABC DTM-X4 (http://www.**********s.com/forum/index.php?act=ST&f=8&t=253)

ABC DTM-SP (http://www.**********s.com/forum/index.php?act=ST&f=8&t=252)

do tamiya mini 4wd motors work in the sp and if so how do they perform?

They would deffinitly fit, they are 130 size motors. As far as working, this depends on your spedo. If you are using that ES-01, it might blow. :p

BUT, part of the edge both ABC cars have over the Mini-Z, besides 2more cells, is the ability to fit 180 size motors. These are the same ones as in the Micro RS4. So it's beyond me why some one would STILL want to use a 130 size motor.

The two motors I would suggest are from GPM: The High Speed and the High Torque. The High Torque for the X4 of course :D

I am assuming by your view on the hpi mod motors you mean in regards to an ABC DTM SP?

HPI's "Big Block" I hear is a fantastic motor BUT it won't fit in a DTM. Nothing with a round can will! :( It must be the same shape as a regular 180 size motor to fit. I don't even know of another mod motor they make?

This fourm or the sister Mini-Z fourm might be able to get you some GPM stuff. Remember, they make lots of mod motors BUT only 2 that are 180 size. The high speed and high torque.

If all else fails go to GPM racing (http://www.gpmracing.com) that's Hobby Etc. 's hompage. I think they are the official distributar of GPM in the U.S.

They should be around 20 bucks no matter where you get them.

Well,

is the can shapped just like that of a regular 180 size motor? If it is, it will fit.
