Here are pictures taken during assembly:
We did it finally! a 2 cell Wild Char-G, now it can be considered Wild! It bucks on takeoff and wants to climb over everything! Here are pics of it during assembly!
What do you guys think of my new project? and yes, it's fully functional too!

Well, I will be picking up one of these Wild trucks this weekend.
I think 'll get a 3.0 for it, plus give this dual-batt mod a try. I want some torque!!!

did you use another motor for the hook thing? or is it still the 1.0 - does it move faster with the 2 cells (the hook thing)

umm, replying to the post above me, it is not that hard to do the mod, i did it on my wild char-g this after noon in about 15 minutes, except i put my extra cell in the cab.

i cant wait to get them just so i can rip them apart and start modding
so throw up a video and give me a reason to order 4 more batteries
and some moters i would like to see it with the 3.1 turbo deisel and the
3.4 which im still waiting for by the way but i understand im sure you guys
are doing alot better keeping with demand than radio shack is

very sweet! i'm planning on doing this mod very soon! if you pick up a KIT RACER, you can use the battery holder as a cool looking cover for the extra load;)

Check out the LAYMAN's DUAL BATTERY MOD on the bit char g , bit science page i think it is, u dont need to soldier, it says if u can change a battery u can do this mod AND ITS A TOTAL SLEEPER INSIDE A BIT so think of howmany batterys u can fit into your monster of a bit u got there !!!!!
yes, if you do it the way I did, which was to show off the 2nd cell for promoting the upgrade, it would, but no more than stock. I have made a 3 cell!! already and placed the 3rd inside the body, now it is very balanced and very fast--at least for a Wild Char-G

if you haven't done this yet do it now
then put in a 3.8 motor (you WILL like that)

did you do the 2 or 3 cell mod i would prefer two just use two cells but im kind of worried about how fast it will go. I want it to go pretty fast
baggy

i put on 1 extra batt & mounted it under the cab
with 3.8 motor it would be a bit faster than car with a 1.6 in
with 1.6 in it was slow but faster than when new
do 2 first & if not fast enough put in another 1 it would only take extra 5 mins

i spent the better part of my day doing this mod and imho its not worth it. i used two stock tomy cells and a 3.4 moter and the performance is not that great. i still love my wild ones but they need to be faster. i may try three cells
but i am concerned about the steering. the second battery really weakend my steering to the right. it took me forever just to get it to work right. if you have a wild char-g listen to it as you hit the button to turn left and right you will here that the magnet grabs real hard to the left and barley cliks to the right.
so for some reason the dual cell really messes up the steering. has anyone else had this prob?

Yeah I had the problem but with the truck stock. It seems to work greet now that I got the steering axel fixed. Just a little rc greese did the job.

i am having some troubles with right tunrs also now that i dual celled my truck.........can anyone help me on how to fix this or possibly modify the truck to make the pull stronger to the right?
-v2oracle-

never mind, i got it running, with a drop of oil on the turning axel and some working it in, it works just great now, fast ,strong (cept reception is still a bitch even with atenna mod and crip cap removel.......arrrrrrrrgh) cant wait for my hook shooter....:D

stock range for me was about 4ft-5ft on a good day, the first thing i did was a tele-mod on that bad boy. Upped it to 12ft indoors, not bad considering the initial results!

The wilds are OK stock. They are not supposed to be fast as the bits. I don't "get" the obssesion with raw speed with the wilds and the cars. The bits don't handle well enough for anything faster than about a 2.6 motor. Guess it actually is alot like 1/12 and 1/10 scale racing. "I can win being fast and otta control". A car that is handling properly will "feel" slow. I raced 1/12 scale for years and my best runs were the ones where the car felt like a dog speed-wise.

i am guilty for the need for speed, mind you the motors i shoved in my truck were for torque and speed, and i am getting quite good at handling my fast motors, but dual celled fast motors are a little too crazy for me
