I have the Raise Tiger Wild Char-g, and does this thing rock. When i first got it, it was slow - but with a new battery and a 3.8motor, it began to move. With some further exploration, realized there was a second motor sodered to 2 wires which controlled the Claw action. Yesterday, i asked the programmer at work to help me soder a 3.0 motor into the Claw mechanism. It worked!
the claw is much noisier than originally, but moves up and down 3 times faster than before. The only mod needed for the motor to work properly was a little foam under the motor body so it would be seated evenly with the Claw gears.
I'll try to post a small MPEG of the claw in action later today.

to get the arm motor out, you need to cut the wire sodered to the motor. cut the wire really close to the motor so you'll have some to play with when re-sodering it to the new motor. Pain in the butt? Hell yeah. but totally worth it:)
i find it works better with the raising claw rather than the dropping claw though. the raising claw catches other 'victim' bits faster. whereas the dropping claw doesn't have as much of an effect.

STOP your making me jealous/cries I want my WIldbit to get here asap)
Well its here, havent changed battery yet but threw in a 3.8. Moves enough but not very fast at all. Its like a 1.0 in other cars, But it is fun and can use it on desk to mess around which is fun. Will defiantly have to put in new claw motor and think of other jobs for that claw motor soon. Look forward to more wildchar-g mods

i just got my wild char-G and i removed the pcb crip cap, and im going to put a 3.4 darkside rotor in for the main drive and a monkey rotor in for the claw on the raise tiger......but what is the size difference like in motors for the claw? do you have any pics or diagrams on where i'd need some foam?

Only difference I thought was that claw motor is soldered on to the wires and likes lots of torque. Where can i find the thread about the pcb crip cap? I need to remove that too my Wild- is a dog with a 3.4 dks and new battery

well www.questformadness.com has the crip cap mod for regular bits, when i looked at the pics of the regular PCB it looked very similar to that of the wild char-G, so i took a leap of faith and tried the capacitor in the same position on the board......AND no problems and there was a slight boost in range, so hey:D it was worth the trouble. (oh yea, there was no crip cap i could find in the controller..........) i haveta get a good torque motor to replace the arm motor.....i want FORCE behind that puppy, even if its slow, i'd rather it has lifting power:D
