Just finished up the body work on my Rx7. What do you guys and gals think?
Still have to finish the interior with a driver ( just found one of those cut guys from the elbow down ), it's more scale like than the Rally Stock Styles.

TinyRC, I guess a picture is worth a thousand words so, here's a side by side comparision of a stock "Mini Mover" OEM Bullet to the mod.
The body was first lowered by .050". rough cut the top off with a Dremell cutoff wheel and trimed up with an Excto. The back was then formed with a piece of window film taped on and then glassed from the inside.
The front brake holes and side air exit holes were cut out.
The electronics cover was removed because I'm getting ready to add an interior shelf for the driver and the board was taped on with a piece of 1/16" fine line tape.
It was filled in and primered, a white base coat was sprayed and then the yellow pearl added and then the whole thing was clear coated. The picture doesn't do the color justice

Wow! After seeing the low detail body that it started out as, I'm even more impressed! Amazing job!

Those are some nice clean cuts... I gotta get a dremel.
Were you planning on doing anything to the back for detail? Either a roll bar or a faux cover for the "roof".
make it like a supra that it has the detachable sunroof and make a detachable sunroof!!! that would be AW-SAM. 2 in 1 Rx7

I'm waiting for some driver figures now, these are used in HO slot cars. I plan on doing a deck with instrument cluster and driver and possibly a roll bar. I also order a bunch of HO lexan bodies than I plan to remake to fit these cars. I'm a little partial to the "60s and '70s LeMans style cars so I'll have to see what tickles my fancey when they arrive. Also, I ordered some HO rims that are duplicates of some of the mags of that era and some 5/8" diameter tires, I know I"ll have to make some adapters for the axles size difference but, that won't be a problem.

Cool, keep us posted on your projects; would you like an Album in the Gallery to showcase your creations?

that's very clean. I really like the colour.
I bought one of each of the body kits and am making a convertible version of each. My very first experiment w/ the Bb truck didn't work out but my second mod with the Honda Accord worked out well. Here is a pict:

I made a black leather interior and bra with plain electrical tape!
More can be seen at my mini Bit gallery (http://homepage.mac.com/bootzy/PhotoAlbum7.html).

What method did you use to lower the body?

What do you mean by "glassed"?
