Hey this is my first post and I have a Mini-X v2.0... I am going to race it on my homemade ozite carpet track which is 12ft x 16ft. Now to the questions..

I want to know what the best setup for those conditions are... so far I have a stock Mini-x v2.0 with ball bearings, 6 Cell pack, and a Futaba transmitter. I was told to get the following:

- Aluminum Locknuts
- Spring Set
- Tire Type A (which are slicks)

I have no clue on what to do on my Mini-X to help it perform better on the carpet (I can't use it until Christmas). I've read about caster, camber, and diff adjustments and such. I'm a 1/10th and 1/8th scale offroad guy so i dontk now anyhting abotu setting up an onroad car. Any suggestions would help, btw I have a Mini-Z too which I run on the track.

Oh yea is there a handling difference in the bodies, I have an NSX body, I picked it becuase it appeared to have the lowest Center of Gravity.

Umm...the body isnt going to help the center of gravity they weigh hardly nothing.

i would say with the tires...you probably need all 4 to test...

with the aluminum locknuts? its more for looks, the weight savings is very minimal.

I would say yes you do need the spring set...my stock set of springs from tinyrc were super hard, but the basic kit has the lightest...odd

good luck!

I WOULD CHANGE THE TIRES TO A SET OF FOAMS FOR CARPET. GPM MAKES A SET FOR THE MINI Z THAT WILL WORK. TRY MINIZRACER.COM FOR A SET? WITH FOAMS YOU CAN USE A TRACTION COMPOUND TO AID IN SET UP. THE NEXT ITEM THAT YOU CAN ADJUST WILL BE THE DIFF'S. ADJUSTING THE DIFF'S WILL MAKE A BIG DIFFRENCE.

IRC...how tight should the diffs be?

It all depends on how you want the car to drive? If it is over steering loosen the back one up a bit. If the car under steers (pushes) tighten the rear up or loosen the front. Both diffs need to be lubed as they are dry from the factory.

Oh I thought the Mini-X came with plastic wheel nuts like the Mini-Z thats why I was referring the aluminum locknuts...
