We just purchased two Epoch's Spec 2's and have found the run time to be about 7 to 8 minutes before either one starts to glitch or slow. Just wondering if this is the norm. We have recharged about 5 times total. Also what about discharging or running down what little power is left. The adds say the spec 2 has a NI-MH battery and the instructions say NI-CAD. The instructions however are for the spec 1 with a suppliment for the spec 2. In the past I have learned that NI-CADS will build a memorey if not discharged correctly. So any ideas which we have and what do you do. Any aftermarket tires, bodies etc.

Hootcher,
I can't vouch for these instructions, BUT as far as I know, ALL Epoch's have NiMh batteries.
Your run time of 7 to 8 min is normal. Sorry if you are dissapointed.:(

Thank you for the info. I am very happy with the 7 to 8 minute run times. We have been racing 1/10 scale on road carpet, for over 10 years(until we closed our track) and all races were 4 minutes. Our club is now looking at getting back into racing, but at a smaller scale so to speak. Thanks again for the info

I replaced the AA's in the chargers and the run times are back to 7 & 8 minutes respectivley with 2.5 & 3 minute charge times. We are very happy with this.
