i was running my tanks around and noticed that after a few continuous runs i noticed the left motor making more noise than b4, even with both sets of gears lubed. Also i noticed the car always pulling to the right and setting teh trim didnt help, also i swithced the treads and no difference was noticed....blown motor?...i just bought them about a week ago and if that is the problem can i buy a replacement and jsut solder it in myself?
thanks

You say the tank pulls to the right? That means the right motor is not going as fast as the left. Give this a try...with the treads on the tank, flip it over and hit forward. Hold you finger on the center wheel and see if one tread slips more than the other. I had this problem myself with the tread slipping after lots of use.
I used a rubber-like coating on the drive wheels to stop the slipping and it has worked great so far. I'm also going to try putting an o-ring over the drive wheel and the non-driving wheel in front of it. My thinking is by putting power to another wheel may help get more traction to the treads. I just need to find an o-ring that is small enough to fit in the groove in the wheels.
As far as motor replacement, if you find a source don't forget to share it with us here. We will all need to replace motors at one point or another.

Hello,
you have to give your motors a run in for two hours.
Solder them out and let them run by 2.4 V. Then solder in again.
Thatīs it.
