I have a hard time taking off the rear rims. I guess all the lubricant on that giant O-ring came off. Once, the setscrew even came off! I have tried ceramic grease and motor lube. i have also tried some oil with teflon. What do you guys use to take off your rims.

I just use the grease that came with the kit. Don't just grease the o-ring, do the whole hub. I suppose also you could try graphite filings.

I have a DRR and I am wondering what the best replacement is fot the stupid small o-ring on the axel for the diff. tention.

I just guessing here, but maybe ANOTHER:
stupid small o-ring
Why? Have u lost yours? Has your o-ring offended you? Did you want your diff to be adjustable? Do you just want to have an o-ring-less car?

:slapingforehead:
lol, jk
Because the o-ring will eventualy get cut and because it doesn't allow you to adjust the ball diff. tention as well as I would like.

That's funny, 'cause mine's been on for 1yr plus!!! :D
Maybe a couple washers or a small spring would give some adjustment?

After hearing the plans of a execlent racer at the track tonight I have decided to make a new rear axle. I will have it the same length and width but insted of having a screw going into the axle I will die the outer edge and put a lock nut on it. That should work better.
I fubed up while cleaning my car before a race. I was cleaning and oiling the rear axel parts after discovering that my o-ring was pan-caking out making my diff. be really lose and I was thinking to much about how to fix than what I was doing and lost every bearing out of the thrust bearing but 2. :-/
At the end of it all I decided just to do a timperarey rigging of it and put 2 small washers to replace the o-ring and REALLY greased up the thrust disk so it would slide good. Then I put loctite on the diff. screw and locked it down. only until I get my other one going.
