I only have the DTM-X4, but I have done quite a bit or research on the two cars. Maybe someone with an Mini-X will chime in. These seem to be too different types of cars.
The Mini-X seems to be a "nicer" 4 wheel drive Mini-Z. There is nothing wrong with that as I really like the Mini-Zs.
The DTM (both the SP and the X4) are basically 1:10 or 1:12 scale RC pan cars shrunken down to 1:24. If you like building kits and doing it youself I would think the DTM is the way to go, if you don't look at the Mini-X or Mini-Z.
I think they are all nice cars and they each have their place.

Thanks mate.... i understand..... I used to have a 1:12... so DTM are smaller versions! Boy my 1:12 was so fast even with a sock motor! I remember bringing it to a tarmac race track.... All the 1:12 buggy racers would laugh... untill my baby whhhhipped them on the straights! (And around corners ;) ......

Again thanks....... i can't wait.... i should really get one of both!
I must say i do really like the transparent mini-x, also the wishbones and dampers look so cool..... i might buy one just to look at and display!

Thanks again!

Hey Ping,
I just bought a Mini-X and I love mine. the clear chassis is so cool and the 4wd with real A-arms at each wheel is just neato. super easy to work on and is pretty simple to maintain. It it pretty quick just on the four cell battery but I'm in the process of installing the optional six cell that will double my speed. I too had a hard time deciding which car to get but given the features and looks and cost I sprung for the RTR set and its truly RTR except for painting the body (body is included). I love 1/24 scale because i can use any model car body on it. One thing you can do for a custom look is to get RIT dye and dye the chassis whatever color you like such as blue or purple or green, it comes out a translucent color that is trick. see the other posts down in the Mini-X forum for pics of the ones that IRC customized. considering the whole outfit RTR was only 100.00 is the main thing that swayed my buying decision. Most of the other cars in this class are 75 to 80 dollars with no electrics. Let us know what you get! :D

I have both cars and they are both great! The ABC is smooth and preciese wher the X turns sharper and is better suited to run on pavement. It would be a tough choice that I could not make thats how I ended up with both:eek:

Pingster, FYI we ship to the UK, and it's often cheaper including shipping than buying locally. Just email us before ordering to arrange shipping. Thanks!

I have both cars too. The Mini-X has higher ground clearence. I really don't have time now to do an in-depth comparison of both cars. So I leave you with a link for a pretty good description on both:
