Does anyone know how this car compares to the Mini-x in speed?

Yeah, as soon as I get home from school and I can get some WD-40 or googone, those stickers are going bye-bye. The generic logos are just so cheezy, love the car though.

what do you mean by 55 mph car? do you mean scale mph or actual 1:1 55 mph?
Mattydiah

A fully modded Auldey is usually good to about 55MPH. 55 real Miles per hour, not scale.
but thats ALOT more dangerous...imagine hitting a curb...and the whole thing shatters...it might even flip..im not sure, mines not fast enough to flip right now

55 MPH?!? Woah. 20 would be great, 30 would outrun my Team Losi XXT! Hah! What motor is the best? I assume the 90Km/h would be 55MPH.
My question is, what experiences have you people had with doing the motor relay mod? It looks really complicated to me. I've never done any of that wiring sort of thing. The pictures on the CarMoWorld website aren't all great either. (Neither is the english)
Oh, and its nice to see that there are more people posting here every day.
i havent done the relay mods...but i bet they help.
since i dont know which kind or what type of relays they use, i didnt do it because i would have bought them at radio shack hehe,
i just added 2 extra batteries using a battery holder and connected it to the positive/negative wire that goes to the PCB... youll still get a larger boost, but i bet the boost will be approx 25% more if you do the relay mod + the extra batteries

What mods do you need to make to be able to use the faster motors? They're so cheap and fast, its pretty much the whole reason of wanting the car.

wow, 55mph is almost as fast as a 1/10 scale gas car. . what about the mini z and the x motor? how fast is that?

hmm im not too sure on what all is necessary, but you will either need to buy a new motor case to fit the bigger sized motors, or do some dremeling and cutting :D

New motor case?? I never saw anything about that... I just figured that the relay was necessary for the good motors. How much cutting are we talking about here?

jesus that is faster than my nitro car. are these digital proportional? with all that power you would need proper control.

http://www.tinracers.com has all the stuff you need to make a 55MPH machine, complete with motors, relay systems and a whole PDF explaining how to do it.

I did the relay mod with a 56Kmh motor and its really easy. The most I have ever done was a dual battery mod on my bit so I have very little experience with thistype of stuff. Its faster than my brand new mini-z with a X-speed motor.

the body's for the tin racers look kind of ugly, can u put a mini z body on it? and if i buy a 55mph motor, ill just need 2 buy is the motor modification kit for it right?
Mattydiah

You can technically do it with just the motor and the relay kit, but you probably want to get the wheel mod kit too. It comes with ball bearings and all that good jazz, you dont want to be pushing 55MPH on stock bushings.

do i would be probaly spending about 60$ on a 55 mph car? thats koo:) . what happens when i just buy a stock auldey and put the fastest motor on and everything else stock? would it still work?
it would probably melt.
heh i dunno im not sure

I find it hard to believe that this Audley can go 55mph..they look kinda cheap. This is not a knock, i just think it'd be hard since the Micro RS-4 is typically easy to run at 40mph.
I still like my Mini-X better...its more technical, a bit of hop ups and cheap replacement parts, plus you have to love the 4wd and independant steering.

40?? i think more like 20 or less, but it was stock. I saw one on a 1/10 track a while back, it was pretty slow and comparing to the cars I was racing with, we could easily eat it up. And i doubt my nitro car can even go 40 with such a crappy engine that is pretty run down now. :p
edit: actually i read on the hpi europe forums that highly modified micro rs4's can go around 30-40, still too fast for a such a small car though.

I seen on the 'net a micro RS4 with the .21 nitro motor hitting over 100mph. Either way i like my Mini-X just fine.
Maybe someday I'll look into an Audley.

you're getting that confused with the super nitro (1/10-1/8) touring car by hpi, not the micro which is 1/18. If the micro had a .21 engine in it, the drivetrain would be ripped apart because the engine is too powerful and isn't designed for a nitro engine.

its just krazy 2 think a 1/33 scale car going as fast as a real car in a freeway and not cost much.
