Paint question

I need to re-paint my Bit. (cos I messed up the body) :( Its an offical Tomy with a painted clear shell. What paint can I use?

I have some paints that I have used on previous Tamiya plastic model kits, will they be ok?

Also do I need to strip of the old or shall I paint over it? I have heard that you can use foam oven cleaner, my oven cleaner is a spray gel.

Just been through the Tips and Mods section and re-read TheFanMan's guide.:o

"Only use paints that are thick enough for the plastic, such as Tamiya model paints"
