Four returns later finally I have a working T34/85 Russian tank!!

My girlfriend's Panther G German tank has been running like a champ.

These little guys are so much fun! Inspired from watching the 1/16th scale Tamiya tanks battle on the weekend. My girlfriend and I rushed out to the local hobby shop to pick up these Combat DigiQs. They are a fraction of the cost of the Tamiya tanks, portable, can battle not to mention extremely cool!

do the turretes rotate? they look koo.

I strongly believe that the turrets rotate manually, thus you cannot rotate the turret with the controller.

Nope, no turret rotation, but after taking one apart, it is clear there was the intention of making that function work. There is a geared area on the turret and an empty spot between the drive motors that a turret motor would fit just fine.

Even with out a rotating turret, these tanks are a blast...but I'm easily amused.

The turrets don't rotate.

Set them up manually howeveras other have mentioned there under the turret assembly there is a molded gear which looks like Takara might have considered making the turret movable.

These tanks are a blast, pun indended. However I must be honest I am very disappointed in the quality control of the Russian T35/85's tank. I went through four tanks before finding a good one. They all drifted too much to the left and would require a lot of trim adjustment. And if you adjust too much trim it will prevent the tank from turning in reverse properly.

Miraculously my girlfriend's German Panther G never had a problem.

Russian tank is faster but doesn't shoot as acurate as the German tank. German tank is slower but shoot more accurately.

To make your combat go straight you have to run in your motors without the rubbers. Take them off and let the motors run free three or four charges. then put them back where they belong to and you will see what happens. These tiny motors need a "run in" more than the bigger ones in a 1/10 race car - and they need it, too. :)
