Is there a super increase of power when you just change the battery to the NIMH? And are there any disadvantages?

As I understand it, the NiMH batteries do not so much add a power boost as they increase the maximum duration that your Char-G will run - 3 or 4 times longer, but with a performance decrease in the last half of the run.

Schoon is correct. The NiMH battery upgrade is for longer runtimes only.

For a REAL BOOST you have to do a 2.4v dual battery mod. It easily doubles your speed. The wiring must be in series and not parallel. Go to www.questformadness.com and click on 2.4v dual cell Turbo Mod How-to in the Mod Section for more details. You can buy the necessary mod parts in the online store. Hope this helps.

Yeah, I want to do the TURBO Mod, but it needs the tailskid part... They have it in the TinyRC Parts Shop, but they have parts included that I don't need... So basically ima paying alot for just the tailskid... Hmm... Actually, QFM... See if you can do this... See if you have any tailskid, shrink warp, NiCd battery, wires, and insulator lying around... If so, can you help me solder the battery and shrink wrap it for me, and I will pay for the materials used? See if you can do that, I WILL REALLY APPRECIATE that because it would cut my job more than 75%! See what you can do... Let me know... One more... Can the Lancer and Subaru body fit with the tailskid? Thanks Alot!

Ahhhhhh! You also have to modify the controller to charge the TURBO BITS.... Hey QFM... The pictures for this mod doesn't work.. Can you try posting the pictures for modifing the controller to charge Turbo's in this thread? Thanks alot!
