Comparing the 6-cell mini-x to the mini-z

Alrite ive heard alot of good things about the mini-x but how does it stand up to the mini-z. Ive got a mini-z that goes 30 k, can the mini-x (6 cell) out run this? and how about the turning radius on the mini-x? And what about the clearance on the mini-x?

so many questions i might just have to get a mini-x and get the answers

If i get a mini-x it has to be able to stand up to a mini-z bcuz everyone has a mini-z that i could race against

super_micro, the Mini-X is more like a hopped-up Micro with the 6-cell. Not only is the Mini-X incredibly fast with the 6-cell, it is also amazingly easy to control even with all the extra power. I have a stable full of extremely high powered Mini-Zs, and while they are very fast, they require a great deal of skill in order not to roll, understeer, etc. The Mini-X is more point and shoot, the 4WD system makes it a dream to drive rather than a constant challenge. Not only will you outrun your friends' Zs in the straights (unless they are running a Mini-ZRacer.com motor ;) ) but you will also be able to carry a lot more speed through the corners due to the X's wide stance and 4WD.

ViperKid, we still love Mini-Zs too, we were just answering the question of whether a 6-cell X will cream a Z!

Does any one have one of those tamiya speed checkers? How fast does the x rate on one of those? cuz u know "very fast" can mean alot of things:rolleyes:

Well, testing it on a Tamiya Speed Checker is even less accurate than saying "very fast" - those things are useless. You'd need to use a proper radar device to get an accurate measure. The Tamiya Speed Checker is completely pointless as it doesn't take the vehicle's body weight into consideration. So you could put some insane high RPM motor in a car and it would show it going 100Km/h, but then when you actually try to race it you find the thing won't even budge because it has no torque. Does anyone have access to any kind of speed checking device? super_micro, what do you have in your Mini-Z, if you can list the hop-ups I can probably give a reasonably accurate comparison.

I have 2 mini Z's that I like very much with turbos, X speed motors and 750 makh nimh batteries and My X with the 6 cell will smoke them off the line and top end. please I like my Z's very much and I can get faster lap times on my track with them due to it's size but the mini X is way faster as it should be with 6 cells.

my z has a gpm high torque motor, 9 tooth pinion, 750 nimh, and gpm super turbo
