Broken Desert Truck Steering Rod

I just broke my steering rod for my dt and i was woundering where to get an aluminum one? Also would a micro T steering rod work for the dt? please help in dire need just got my micro and now sad.

Hey VW. I'm new here but I've done a lot of reading.

Apparently, if you use a metal steering rod on the DT you'll just start breaking other things in the front end.

The plastic tie rod is the weakest link in that assembly. You can make a new one yourself out of spare lexan, plastic zip ties, milk jug plastic, etc.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong. :)
