Is it just me, or do they autoscales in particular the GT3 and skyline look "cheap" and not very well crafted?
I have seen some slot cars that have amazing detail. I am about to order a GT3 but the pictures online make it seem so ugly... any thoughts?

It's hard to take a picture of something small like that and make it look as good as something bigger. My advice is to purchase it, you will appreciate it. I have no doubt in my mind that the Porshce and Skyline are just as high quality as the Murcielago that I already have. Remember, it's Kyosho, not brand-X. Kyosho is well known for their high-quality die-cast models and these babies are just as superb. It may look funky in the photo's cause if it's size, but I'll be you once you have it in your hands, you'll be amazed! I agree with you that the photos do make it look odd, but again, it's hard to take a picture of something tiny and make it look as nice as a larger version.

The details are really fine indeed, at least on the Murcielago. In fact the details are even better that the Mini-z version, it has a separated wiper while it is moulded with the body on the Mini-z version.
Here is mine:

Hmmm, I thought you were interested in the Porsche, that's what I'm getting next. Fovea, those AVM wheels look sweet and I'm planning on getting the same set for both my Dnano and Mini-Z Murcielago, I'm just waiting to hear back from AVM. Really nice close up pictures of the Dnano there, must have a nice camera to get that detail that close up.

My cam is this (http://img.presence-pc.com/news/c/a/canon_digital_ixus_i.jpg) old 4 megapixel Ixus in macro mode. Oddly enough my newest Ixus (the I7) has a so lame macro mode that I have to use the older one for close ups ;)
What is great with the AVM's is you can use wider tires.

Yes unfortunately. No frivolity in the wheels department :(

Which is why we're very glad AVM stepped up to the plate. I hope Tagu will fallow soon.........
The stock wheel's are kind of ugly, but I guess they did that to lower cost. Then again, they did make the scale wheels for the dumby chassis, why couldn't they make scale wheels for the running chassis?
