Yes, yes, I know "cuteness" probably isn't the best word for such a kick ass toy (especially in a mostly guy filled forum, snerk) but damn that's cute. In lieu of finally getting my own bike, this'll do. Thinking fewer mods will be available for this than the cars, right?

Thanks for the links!

Don't take em apart, even just to look. I lost one that way. They DO NOT go back together, and Im a fairly good tech on such things. After I opened it up things looked cool. Then I tryed to put the fron end back together, foreget it! ! ! There is no way! Still got one. They are very cool. But I still like my car better.

so no way of changing motors? that blows

tinyrc

ViperKid, like I keep telling you - they are already too fast stock, there's no way you would want to upgrade the motor!

Dan, could you post pics of your disassembled bike to save those whose curiosity would have apparently resulted in catastrophy from losing their bike?

ViperKid

ok, ok i give up, still there has got to be a way to upgrade the motor. just because it goes fast doesn't keep you from wanting it to go faster:p

Remove the rider! ;) You can go ahead an pull it open and attempt to upgrade it, but don't say Dan didn't warn you!

Is the turning radius the same as a bit or is turning worse? How's speed compare to bit booster?

Looks very cool.

tinyrc

The turning depends completely on the surface - on some surfaces you can spin the rear wheel and turn on a dime, on others with more traction your turning radius will be greater. The speed is incredible, and again it depends on the surface as if it's too slippery you'll spend a lot of time spinning, but on the right surface it will out-drag a Bit no problem!

How do they steer?

Kyosho did bigger mototrcycles. I think they steered by the steering servo moving the riders ass. Basically they steered by weight transfer.

My motorcycle looks like it hit a brick wall. Think of a bunch of parts in a globe :) After I figured out that I could not reasemble it I tried to reuse the steering coil on my booster bit as I toasted one in my booster (I need a new booster car HELP!!!!!!!!!).

The coil is kinda different, they only use one coil in the bike and two magnets (Weird!). THe motor looks like the ones from the OEM bit so its not the same as the actual bit char -g and has wired sprouting off of the back of it.

Tell you the truth It is now earmarked for a very small r/c aiplane :), ao all is not lost. The steering is pretty ok and is enhanced by the revers action. Also it has this cool LED that goes on anytime you go forward or reverse.

Overall the bike is a Gass and is a steal for the price. BUT DO NOT TAKE IT APART~!~~! If taken the car apart no prob but the bike is assembled by little knomes in 0 G gravity or sumthing. THe front end explodes in a hale of springs and stuff when it comes apart.

The bike is Fast though and I doubt that anyone will be looking for more speed. Maybe a better rear tire though. That would be nice as the original is too hard a rubber and seems to work best on paper and cardboard.

how does the bike retain it's balance?
does it really ride on two wheels? or are there bit char training
wheels underneath? ;)

TheFanMan

yeah, it doesn't seem like it would keep balance very well, kinda like when you make a paper airplane out of a gum wraper, it's just too small to fly

There are two tiny wheels in the center section that keep it upright. As you can see from the pics, they aren't noticable, they don't detract from the overall appearance (like a real set of training wheels might).

I'm a little unclear on this. Are those the only powered wheels (i.e. are the main 'wheels' just for show)? Or are those just supplimentary wheels to keep it stable and the front and rear large wheels the main powering and streering wheels?

tinyrc

pimlottc, the rear wheel drives, and the front wheel steers. The tiny wheels just help keep it balanced, as there's no way to fit a gyro in something this small (especially at this super low price!).

tinyrc,

Could you please email me a dealer (hobby shop) package?

I have accounts for BC-G's already but you have some really NEAT stuff that I have yet to see anywhere!!!

Thanks in advance,
freak...

has anyone tried removing the balance wheels? To see if they can drive it on just 2 wheels? That would be sick if you could. The idea of the wheels just sorta puts me off it for some reason. Still sounds like alot of fun. Hope they come to aus some time soon.

i wonder...you know the only thing different from a bit charg booster and a reg bitcharg is the PCB. Assuming that you can put it together again (dispite Dan's warnings) you think it would be possible to put a booster PCB in the bike and have a booster crotch rocket??

just a thought...gears are turning in my head...
