AAA powered monster?

I just did a tri cell mod and the power is great but it doesnt last more than 30-40 seconds(could be a bad 3rd cell, its from a clone)

anyway, i was curious if you could retrofit two rechargable AAA batteries instead? would that fry the monster or could it work?

never mind,i tried it and it and it doesnt seem to give it that much power.

Here is what i did, it may work better if i remove the batteries though, im not sure.

I opened it up and took a AAA holder(holds 2 AAA batteries and has a + and - wire coming out of it) I compleatly drained the stock batteries and connected the AAAs to the MT and hit the accelerator and it went but it just didnt have the get up and go that the tri cell has.. maybe i just wasnt doing it correctly or maybe it just doesnt have the output i need..im sure it would run for a long time though, just not very quickly lol

I may test it again later but i doubt that it will work,, AAAs are only 1.5 volts and i dont know what the output is but i dont think its enough.

Just filling you all in on my experiment,, if anyone knows a better way of doing it please let me know
