Steering problem

I was driving my Bit char-g around today and noticed that it steers to the right. So I turned that little white switch to the left....still it turns to the right. Ok, now for trouble shooting I looked around the little bugger and seen nothing. Spun the right wheel and it spins like there is gum in it. What should I do? I see that I can take it apart but I want to make sure I will not loose a spring or anything in the process. If someone could tell me what to watch out for Id apreciate it.
