View Full Version : NASCAR bodies?

I am currently waiting on my first bitcharg, i saw them at E3(Electronic Entertainment Expo) this year and was blown away. I am into rally racing so the available body styles work great for me, but I want to get one for my dad as well and he is all about NASCAR. Does any one make NASCAR bodies or planning on doing so I would think the market would be good for such an endeavor especially now that they are so widely available in the US.

You might be able to find lexan slot car Nascar bodies that you can customize to use on a BC-G! Check out this article from our partner site QFM Racing for a how-to:

What the hell are you smoking!? These toys come from Japan!!! Nasccar is only in america! besides Nasccar drivers have absolutly NO driving ability, how hard is it to drive in a circle 500 time!? If it were up to me Nasccar would be abobished! If really want a racing experiance watch F1, K.A.R.T, or every IRL

Nasccar SUCKS!!

ViperKid

YOU SUCK!

just kiddin' driving in nascar is harder than you think, the f-1 and k.a.r.t. guys are good, but they don't have personalitys and they all talk funny:D

Neon_Skylineboy

U American idiot! They "talk funny" becuase english is not their first language! the only time they speak english is to talk to the annouying reporters! most of them are European, Asian, or just about anywere else, but america!

My opinion stands! Nasccar SUCKS!!

I have to agree that Nascar sucks. A friend (who likes Nascar)told me they had sweat pants at the race that had printed on them (written upside-down):
Go straight
Turn left
Go straight
Turn left
Go straight
Turn left
Go straight
Turn left
Go straight
Turn left
Go straight
Turn left

Really challenging. Nascar races are won more in the pits than on the track. And I did watch Nascar for a while, but it was boring.

Rally racing is the ultimate in racing IMO. Rain, snow, mud, floods, tarmac...whatever. Just race it :)

I do respect other forms of racing, but I consider Nascar to be the second lowest form of racing (the lowest being drag racing).

Wow what an a-hole, if you would have read my post I didn't say anything about NASCAR being great, my DAD is into it. For me it's Rally or nothing, yeah F-1 and KART are okay but get over yourself. I think NASCAR is boring a hell to watch but you can't knock anybody driving that close to a bunch of other cars at 200 mph. SPEED is SPEED do what you want but don't be such a HATER there's room for everybody. And I realize where these cars are produced, but there are companies in America producing the knock offs. Oh and by the way I am smoking the good stuff.

right on! they can take their nascar hating attitudes and suv em'. where i live nascar is huge, no one has even heard of "k.a.r.t." or "F1". maybe it is a hillbilly sport, but i love it and you guys can go back to drinking tea and eating biscuits or whatever

Hey, I take that offensively! What's wrong with tea and biscuits!? :p :D Come on guys, stop flaming each other - different people like different motorsports - when people ask me what sports I like they can't beleive that I'd rather watch a bunch of stupid cars that "real athletes" so we motorsports fans should stick together not bicker about which motorsports are best. Keep it friendly guys! There's no room for BIG flame wars in TINY RC!

Im not trying to be mean or nothing, its just that they expect Japan to recognize "Nasccar", but nobody gives a crap about F1 or C.A.R.T in america! Do u really think this country would be anywere with out the help of all most all of the asian country!?

Left, straight, left, straight......

oh! and im for just about any motor sport that doesn't involve bore-stroke technolgy from the 50's!!!!

Neon_Skylineboy, who expects Japan to recognize NASCAR? More importantly, what does this have to do with anything in this Forum? Of course Japan, China etc. have played a great role in the US's success - and vice-versa - but what does this have to do with anything? I drive a Toyota MR-S, so I greatly appreciate Japanese innovation. But what is your point?!

Neon_Skylineboy, I'm kind of shocked, I wasn't arguing with you, I was asking you to be respectful of everyone's opinions, I'm not sure how you can take issue with that. Don't go! I'm sure you have lots to contribute!

My original question had nothing to do with Japan supporting NASCAR. My question was whether or not any American companies were going to make AFTERMARKET NASCAR bodies for these cars. I have nothing against imports either, I have aHonda Civic and a 2000 Ford Focus both of which I have raced.
As I said before there is room for everybody. F1 and KART get no coverage in the US, why I dont't know. Soccer gets no coverage in the US either but is huge every where else. None of this would have started if people didn't feel obligated to say one kind of racing sucks and others don't, if you don't like it don't watch it. And Skylineboy if your so down on America why are you acvertising for Dodge, you should stick with Nissan. Neon or Skyline there is no question.

A-ron, I doubt that anyone will be offering NASCAR bodies for the BC-G, however, I could have a word with our friends at DansAm and see if they might be able to do a run of them!

A-ron

I was thinking the same thing today as I looked at the DANSAM thread those bodies are really cool. What are the different bodies offered in his current set?

ViperKid

One sheet includes 8 bodies: F-Type HatchBack, C-Type HatchBack, M-Type Modern Muscle Car, V-Type Classic Sports, I-Type Sport Compact, B-Type StreetBeetle, X-Type Classic Muscle Car, and X-Type Pickup. Also includes velcro mounting system and instructions.

if you looked them up in the shop you would have found out

You know Dodge Neon, the crappy American civic. That's what I think of when I see Neon. If it is something else to you then I apologize for getting it wrong.

Neon_Skylineboy

It means Neon, like the neon that you see people put under the body of the car...

LOL - I thought Monster Truck Racing was a hillbilly sport :D

Not a fan of NASCAR. If you want speed - look at F1, if you want driving skill - look at rally, if you want a balance of both - look at KART.

However, if you want 1/64 scale racing - its all about the Bit Char-G.

I don't think bodies for NASCAR versions of the Bit Char-G would work very well unless they make them longer. The cars used in NASCAR tend to be longer than you see in Japan, and the existing cars tend to be a shorter, more comic stylised body.

Having said that, car I would like to see bodies for :

Porsche Boxter, Audi Quattro, Torana XU1, Ford Sierra Cogsworth.

I am actually an Australian who happens to live in the USA (SoCal).

If you want REAL racing, check out the "<insert his years sponsor> 1000 (http://www.users.fl.net.au/~chris/bathurst.htm)" at Mount Panorama (Bathust, NSW, Australia).

Track statistics : 6.213 kilometres in length.
Conrod Straight is 1.916km
862 metres above sea level.
The drop from the top to the bottom is 174 metres.
The steepest grade is 1 in 6.13.
The Bathurst 1000 is 161 laps of the circuit, making up the 1000 kilometres.
Grid capacity is 55
Because the course has a mountain climb section, and a decent straight section, this course attracts drivers from all around the world.

Now THAT is racing :D

I think the Euro bodies are more suited to the Bits wheelbase but, I plan on making a simple mod to the chassis which, will extend it 5/16", thus making it suitable to attach some HO scale slot car bodies. The mod is fairly simple if, you have access to the machinery to do it. I already have some bodies from Scale Auto which, include some Detroit Iron types. I enjoy all cars but, I'd like to see some neat stuff from the 60's and 70's like, say a Ferrari 250 GTO, or perhaps a Monte Carlo stock car or, even a D type Jag, or a Boss Mustang ( which I did buy ). Stay tuned. I plan on entering something in the Cool Car Contest that, I hope, will blow some minds.

I was just reading through this thread and noticing all the race bashing. I also hate nascar, but that doesn't mean that it's easy to do. Left straight left straight, yeh that's boring, but it shows endurance. Every kind of racing is hard. If it was easy it woudn't be a race, it would be a parade. If anybody in this forum could complete 50 laps of nascar at those speeds including myself without crapping their pants I'd be impressed.

Sorry for opening old wounds, but I was bored...

Right on! Amen brotha!

LAst time I checked Japan and Europe would still be in ruins if the US of A didn't use its people, money and resoursces to rebuild those countries after WWII. AS far as China and other Asian countries go, if it wasn't for the USA giving them high tech technology, and us in the USA buying all there stuff they would still be poor, and have no economy.

Sorry but I am just stating the truth.

As far as the NAscar and other motorsports go I agree with tinyrc.

Back on the bodies topic, are there any other bodies that work with bits/micros? I've heard of people using/attempting penny racers? I saw some penny racers today, but there were pretty much ass, silly with no details. I'd love to have older 80s cars too - stuff like sciroccos, porsche 911, 928, as well as muscle cars from the late 60s and early 70s. What the hell, let's even throw in a k-car or two!

I haven't found any nascar bodies, but you can use HO slot car bodies, but the chassis has to be modified, cause bits are not true 1/64 scale..

about the nascar stuff they will probably make nascar microsizers but not bit char-g because bit char-g is the japanese brand and microsizers is the american brand so it would be easier for microsizers to get the rights to the nascar bodies

Good luck on your search A-ron. but if you buy a find one will it only turn left? Just kidding. Looks like you opened up a sore subject with some. I have a friend who is a major fan of Nascar so I was going to have to make a custom painted body for his Bit. You may have to do the same with you fathers fav. driver. As for Neon skylineboy, ease up nobody is forcing you to accept Nascar. As far as your comment on how hard can it be, You try it. There are plenty of Training courses at Tracks where you can experience driving one of these cars but you won't have 43 other drivers around you. After your done remember these guys do this for up to 500 even 600 miles. All forms of racing require skill and endurance or else everybody would be able to do it. As for the most fun to watch, then Rally racing wins hands down. Anyways again hope you find what you want A-ron.

Actually, NASCAR has Touring Car racing now too, so it's not all just straight, left, straight, left. ;)

For me, SCCA Pro Touring Car is where it's at. Displacement restricted cars with heavily modified suspensions and drivers. That makes all the difference. :) WRC Rally is cool too. ;) But only cuz I like seeing Subies and Evos doing mega jumps in the dirt.

Every kind of racing has its difficulties and challenges; even drag racing isn't as easy as it seems. Pro drag racing, you race against cars that are so equal to you that it's literally down to who launches and shifts better than the other, or who spends more time doing the fine, fine tuning on their motors. NASCAR is about endurance and the balls to fly around a track 6 inches from another car at 200mph and not kill you and everyone else out there. Rally racing is about knowing how to control and lose control of your car in all kinds of conditions in a balls to the wall race. Touring Car racing is all about suspension and driver.. it's all different and I love it all.

Cars are cars peeps. Don't hate on anyone's choice. :)

Why do so many people hate NASCAR? If you don't like it, don't watch it. That is why I don't watch CART or IRL races. There is room for all types of racing. NASCAR is excellent to watch in person becasue you can see the cars the whole time.

I will watch a good SCCA, LeMans, Rally, or Baja race also.

Actually NASCAR has been in Japan since roughly 1996. They first ran 3 exhibition races with Winston Cup and now the Busch Winston West Series runs at Motegi yearly.

ALMS (American Le Mans Series), Grand American Road Racing, or Endurance Racing. Though GT-2 is more like British or Austrailian Touring car due to the short races.

It's almost as easy as rocket science...

Hey a-ron,

to answer you original question go to walmart and look in the rc isle, chances are you'll see a bunch of small clear boxes with motorworks clones in them. look around more and look for this box \/. you can find a thread about them in the ZipZaps forum, on I think the 3rd page (no ones replied for a while) titled- New Nascar Motorworks

What the he|| happened to this thread?
It all of a sudden turned into people suddenly bashing Nascar (And misspelling it)! I mean damn, if you hate Nascar, who gives a rat's arse? I don't. I love Nascar....But that doesn't matter...
This thread, and this forum board, is supposed to be about helping people! This board shouldn't be all about sayin 'Blah blah sucks! So listen to me while I take up bandwith! You shall follow what I say!' I mean, c'mon! If you dislike something, the other people don't need to know about it! Just shut up and try to help this person who is trying to get help and ask a simple question!
And yes, there is a clone that has a Dale Jarret 88 UPS body and a UPS truck body on ebay that I have seen.
So, my final message to everyone: If you don't like something, SHUT UP! We don't care! Talk about it somewhere else, but not here.
I know I'm being kinda hypocritical, but this is important.
