i'm talking about the toyeast pictures, where they got grass, and stuff, and also some military models(tanks on grass and trees and stuff) i know you probably can get the stuff at hobby shop, but is there somewhere online that sells it? and typically what are they called?

Do a search for model railroad stuff. I would guess HO scale is pretty close to the tank scale, I believe HO is 1\87. Anyway, model railroad scenery is what I would suggest and there are plenty of sources online.

They have EVERYTHING a modeller would ever want for various types of projects, I bet you could find a few helpful tools for your Bit-Char; right now I'm interested in their miniature vacumm cleaner. I suggest you subsribe to the free catalog since their online list is not very user friendly if you don't know what you want :D

no, armednun, treky11 cancelled a coupel of bids... after you get yours, let's raise up all the prices of the tanks... becuase i feel cheated that somebody is getting a lower price... while i paid 51 bucks plus 21 shipping for mine....
i will strike tonight....muhahaha
there's a buncha tanks coming out at 9.99 for some strange reason....but the sellers saturated the market...and there're only so many of us
so...no messing with prices...yet!
that shipping really messes things up...
please people, no interference until i give an all clear signal!! Thanks!! :D :D :D

i'll wait for you to start the terror, it doesn't matter if they start the bid with 9 bucks, people will drive then up quick, like buttholes that bid 30 bucks when there's still 9 days left.... i wonder how much the sellers are making.... it must be alot cheaper over there... can't wait to go to hong kong during christmas... the m4 sherman and the f1s will be long out.... :)
actually, i might go too...on a tank buying frenzy.
if we meet up, maybe we can bargain
how good is ur chinese?

To clarify...
HO = 1/64th Scale
N = 1/144th Scale
If you want to build a Diorama for your Combat DigiQ (I LOVE mine and will be doing it)...You need to buy "N-Scale" items. Combat DigiQ is 1/144th (N-scale).
As a matter of fact I might just build an N-Scale Train area and bring the Tanks in to battle! How's THAT for realism! :D

awesome, people don't let you bargain as much anymore.. specially the economy is super bad in HK, when i went last summer alot of people are passing out ads everywhere, and it's like 100 degrees out... well i can't wait to go back... i hope you are too, i'm planning to buy some tanks/rc engines in HK then sell them here, there's this engine my dad got me for 110 in HK, and here it sells for 170, anyways later, did you get your tank yet?

Namuna,
Thx for clarifying the scale thing. I steered Pitstain wrong in my earlier post stating that HO would be the proper scale for the tanks. HO would work for a Bit. As far as the 1\87 scale, I got that from Model Railroad Magazine.
Anyway, I'm going to build an IR decoder so I can get the proper IR signal for the tank's gun. Then I'll build an IR receiver and make some interactive scenery. I was thinking some bright red lights inside some buildings to simulate a hit with some sound FX or perhaps a bridge that could be blown up, that kinda stuff. There are even smoke generators used in model railroads that run on veggie oil that would be cool. It might stink the place up, but as they say, war is hell!
If anyone has any thoughts on the subject, I'd love to hear them.

you got too advanced for me....

Pitstain,
It's not really all that complicated. Once the IR signal from the tank's gun is decoded, it's just a matter of building a circuit the can receive that signal only. I have a few ICs that may work from some other projects I have been working on. Once there is a working module built I'll post the schematic and parts list. You can find a techie friend to help you out with the rest.
I was going to keep it simple to start and make a capture the flag kind of setup. A module placed on opposite ends of the field, the first one to shot the other guys module is the winner.
I guess my first step would be to get a tank to start with. lol
