did you make the side of the track out of these bendable rulers for sketching?

I have been considering making one for my ZZ track out of the laser point and photo cells, using different height flags on the cars antennas to trip the laser beams. I have seen this setup for the Mini-Z cars.

Curious what your timer/counter does and how it works. Work only for one car?

Must explain!!

Hey, nice tracks both of you!

Could you describe them in detail?
Size, materials, construction, etc...

Thanks!

Hi,

The "latency" track look more cool then mine, but:
- It is my first track
- I have invested little money and just 3 hours on building (manly because I changed my mind about the track shape 3 times !)
- It is very light (no more then 100g)

How it is done:

The black base is what it is normaly used for be putted between the raw flor and the carpet, I found it on "House Building Shop" (BauMax) : 3$ for 125x80x0.5 cm. The black base is a sort of "expanded rubber", 0.5 cm thick, very very weak, but for light cars like the bit, it is not a problem.

The blue lines come out of a "multy purpose" carpet, it is made out of stronger "expanded rubber", that I have easly cutted with a knife. This carpet 100x60x3 cm was little bit more expensive (15$) but can provide me enough lines for 4 or more tracks !

The lines are not glued on the base, since in case I change my mind I can redesign it !
The lines are just connected with small nails with a wide flat cup. For be sure to don't lose nails around the flat, I just use a easy removable scotch tape on the rear side, this fix better the nails and also help on not scratch the flor.

Cost for the small track : 8$ plus 2 hours !

I'm going to build up a bigger track, using to bases (160x125cm). Plus drugster track (250x40cm).

My record is now lowered to 2.8sec with Bit Booster, the only way to drive a Digi-Q on the track is to set the maximum speed at 2/8 using the Special controller.

Latency, Love the track man... Looks too narrow for even two car's but try to get three or four on that thing..... yikes..
