OK. I've received the Mini-z Monster for xmas and I generally love the truck but I'm having a ton of problems with glitching and bad steering.

With the car standing still, I can turn the controller wheel left and right and have no tire movement. Now you'd think that the radio was dead, but the throttle forward/brake/reverse works fine. Once it gets to moving, the steering seems to start to respond. I've tried fresh batteries in the controller and rechargables freshly charged in the truck itself. I tried re-seating the truck antenna with no luck. I've swapped out crystals with my epoch which has no gliching, but while there is an improvement, it is still not 100%. I also have front wheel thrashing from side to side when sitting still. Adjustments of the steering center and sensitivity do nothing either.

The motor appears to have the caps in place ok, and since I have problems even with the car idle, I don't think I'm getting interference from there.

Any other suggestions? Perhaps I just have a bad car or transmitter.

Anyone else with a Mini-z monster experiencing similar problems? I hope not. I'd rather exchange a bad truck than think that they all sucked. Thanks in advance for everyone's input....

I haven't had a bit of problems with mine. Not sure what the problem with yours could be, but maybe it's just defective. That usually happens with something new.

By no means is it that Mini Z Monsters are poor quality, I have put mine thru the ringer already with no problems. I would try to return it or exchange it.

That's what I thought. Thanks for your input, BC.

so when the truck is setting on the ground (not moving) the wheels wont turn when you turn the steering wheel on the transmitter? its because the wheels are so big, the servo doesnt have enough power to turn them unless the truck is moving forward, my tmaxx does the same thing.

... Sounds like you need a stronger servo! :)

Seriously though, The servo is not even trying. If I do the same thing with the truck on "blocks" it won't move the tires either....

When it occasionally glitches at a stand still, it's certainly strong enough to thrash those big little tires around...
