I am new to the drr world and was wondering if some of the mini-z parts could be used on the drr. I know on ebay there is a wide selection of springs, rims and tires for the mini-z and I was wondering if any of these would fit on the drr. I am in the process of getting a couple of racers that arn't complete into working racers. Since the drr is discontinued and I can only find limited hop-ups, I was looking for alternative ideas. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

I have a DRR! :D
I don't have a Mini-Z, though. I would just go ahead and try if they aren't too expensive. That's what I'm doing with the XMODS foam tires.

Well, it was worth a shot I guess. I'll have to buy up as much drr stuff that I can find cheap. Thank you for the info.

no, prob. that doesn't mean that some stuff won't work, you just may have to modify it
the DRR is the best handling stock mini car i have at the moment. it is very much worth the money...you just can't find a whole lot of parts for it.:)

Actually, you can! Batt packs for the HPI Micro RS4 work, and so do all 180 motors for the MRS4 and ABC DTM series of cars. You can get tires and rims and bodies for the DTM's that work on the DRR. So are bearings, steering linkages, replacement parts, etc. There's also the Dynamite stuff that's still up for sale!

So the rims for the DTm sp are a direct replacement (same offset and everything). Does ABC (or Kyosho) sell just foams so I can mount and true my own tires?

ABC does sell foam tires. Just search for DTM foams or DTM tires on horizonhobby.com. i think the rims are a direct fit, but i'm not sure.
