Just got my microsizer w/ a 3.8 motor, it sputters on take off.

the 2.2 DOESN't however. any ideas?

I ordered it from tinyrc's store, It sucks that it doesnt work..looks like it could have been moving quick as hell

what exactly would this "sputter" look/sound like?
is it the burnout and then a sudden stop?
if it spins, it works..u just gotta make some adjustments ...

make sure u use the small black pinion gear..
and make sure your axle is pushed all the way in the slots to make contact with the gears

hmm well try that...so far

It isnt a burnout. It doesn't move then it moves a lil stops and moves again. It needs a PUSH er NUDGE to move.

Quite annoying and a waste of 11 bucks.

ummm...its a common problem...and theres many solutions...
im thinking its just not making contact with the gears...so something is wrong there....
are your gears and axles matched colors?

also...make sure u put the motor in correctly..theres a certain way it should be turned ..
there is this small rectangle tab on the pink end of the motor..make sure the tab is at a "3 o clock" position of we were looking at the right side of the car

Scoff,

I supply Tinyrc with the 3.8 motors that they sell in the Parts Shop. I'm sure that they haven't read this thread yet or they would have responded their selves. If you'll send the defective motor to me at:

Kyle Clemmons
P.O. Box 244
Brownsville, KY 42210

I'll replace it with a new 3.8 motor that I will test for maximum performance. I stand behind all my motors and if a defective motor slips out to a customer, I try to do what I can to make up for the inconvenience. Sorry for the trouble.

Kyle

LOL...... I'm sure he feels bad for you, but why would he do that? Did you buy the 3.0 from him? He stands behind his product the best I've seen, but I don't think he's gonna stand by someone elses product.... All the motors I've recieved from him are great.

Kyle, what kind of packaging would you need me to send the motor in ?

i've had the same problem but solved it.
you just have to rotate the motor around a bit to find the right fit.
common problem for 3.0 and 3.8 motors

Scoff,

You can use the original packaging that the 3.8 came in and just change the address. Or, you can get a bubble envelope at any office supply store or even Wal-Mart to put it in for protection during shipping.

Henry,

I can't replace the 3.0 motor that you bought from someone else. But, if you or anyone buys a motor from me and it doesn't perform like it should, you can send it back for a new one.

Scoff, did you get a chance to send the 3.8 back yet? We will of course replace defective items, you never need to buy a replacement! :)

When I read both these posts suddenly I feel an urge to laugh out real loud for some reason. Does anyone find these two posts particularly funny/intriguing etc.?

This might be because you havve a low antenna frequency or your microsizer does nto comphrehend with the motor. Also it might be you got the wrong motor for the worng rc.
