Im glad to see that some english language sites for bit charg are popping up. In January when i bought my first bit charg and digiQ in japan ther was only a few preview sites up.
Well I got a Booster Set the other day and have to say it is awesome. Cant wait to get a hold of a 3.0 motor and watch it really fly. i had a 2.6 but gave it away. Oh well.

welcome, and you might not have an easy time looking for those 3.0, they were so fast that they have been discontinued. but! they are coming out with 3.2 which is pretty much the same thing just "fixed." :D

they were so fast that they have been discontinued I don't know where this information comes from, but the 3.0 motor is THE most readily available motor out there.

It's probably because people are trying to get rid of them. The guy at the store that I go to speaks japanese and says that tomy completely discontinued them becuase of problems with going to fast and burning out after about 5 days of use

sounds like you're gonna have the same combo as me. 3.0 in a boost. These things are soo fast that I actually flipped when i was turning while boosting:eek:

I'm not so happy with my booster set. I immediately put the 3.0 into it and much to my surprise found that my car went exactly the same speed as my cars with only a 1.0 in them. They only sped up when I "boosted" them.
When I switched to the "always boosted" mode, the car STILL seems to be going no more than half again as fast as a 1.5.
ADD to that the range of the darn thing is only a few feet!!!! I was MUCH more happy with my regular 1.0 Loctite Zexel... now I'm disappointed with all Bit char G. I don't think I'll buy anymore of them.

Dude sorry to hear you got a whack booster set. These booster sets are the bomb. I have only a 2.2 motor in both my booster and regular car. On the slow setting the booster is slower than the regular 2.2 but once the boost is pressed its faster than the 2.6 motor I used to have.
I cant wait to get the 3.0 and some different gear sets.
Hey 323iT! Im from Richmond CA. Thats near Berkely. Do you know of any places in the area to race against others? I know in Japan some of the local bars have tracks set up.

Does it work okay with the 1.0 though? It may just be your 3.0 being burned out.

regular 1.0 Loctite Zexel Ummm, you do know that that car comes stock with a 2.6 motor don't you? My booster with the 2.2 is faster than my Xanavi Skyline with a 2.6. Try the 2.2 and see if it is faster.
Many people have problems with 3.0 motors which is why I never got one. Maybe they did discontinue them recently, but the first time I heard the rumor was from buzzkill who said that they only produced them for one month. Yet the market is flooded with them  I checked HLJ (http://www.hlj.com) since they are a pretty good indicator of what is available and what is coming. They don't have the 3.0 any more. They don't have the 3.2 on pre-order yet, but they do have a 1.6 motor for pre-order.

See, that's why they discontinued the 3.0's, they burn out really quick, and sometimes are burned out right out of the box:rolleyes:

You're right ylexot... I did forget that... but it doesn't explain why my brand new 3.0 motor in the booster is slower than even the 2.6 motor of my original. Should it not be faster? It does go relatively fast when boosted, but once the boost stops, forget it... creepy crawly.
And the range still REEKS! When I can, I'm going to see about putting a TV antenna or an antenna from a Prefex into that thing... I've heard that some are doing that. Hopefully it works better than what it is now.
Loctite Zexel -- 4 out of 5.
Booster Set -- 2 out of 5. EEEK! Its a "dying" mouse!
LOL.

Well, here's a possible reason....we all know that the 3.0 has very little torque, right? Well, when the boost is off on the booster cars, it is pulsing the voltage to the motor (not sending constant voltage). So the car is accelerating then decelerating over and over again rapidly. Since the motor has a pretty slow acceleration, it never gets to a high speed. I don't know this for sure, just a theory.
Or you could just have a bad 3.0 like a lot of other people.
Again, try the 2.2 that comes with the car. And you do know that the slow speed is not supposed to be fast don't you? The boost gets the car up to and maybe a little beyond normal Bit speed.
