so me and a few friends came up with this idea that in stead of just hooking up more batteries we would try and simulate a controlled NOS. Any ways we thought we could make a seperate radio controlled device that when the button on its controller was pressed send 3.6 or so volts(we were thinking of using those little mini rc batteries)directly to the motor thus giving the effect of NOS. But, unfortunatley i am unable to find a very simple one channel radio controlled devices diagram thus I need everyones help at TINY RC to help complete this project.

that sounds like a good idea. like u would have a nos button and when u press it, it would send more power to your engine. hmm... that's something we should all try to help with.

I prefer the "larger displacement" upgrade. More power all the time... ;)

"Godsmistake" had integrated a tact switch into his remote and tied it to the Hi-Lo switch so that when he pushes it with his thumb it sends the remote into "High" trim mode. ** See his "NOS BUTTON" post in this forum **

You could use this same principal but have the additional boost come from another cell. Not sure of the wiring diagram but I will work on it and see what I can come up with.

Good Luck

sounds awesome but i think you would would need it to be perfect to work and like in real cars it would possibly fry the engine depending on how it works

Here's an idea that might work. I use to pull radio chips out of the really cheap $5 r/c cars you find at like walmart. and put them it boats to fire rockets. The chip set are small enuff to fit in the car. Just mod the controler and tkat the chip out the old controller and put it in the Xmods one an give it a monmentary push switch. Wire the chip set in the xmod to give it more power when needed You could give it what ever voltage you want. I'm going to use a 12 volt N battery. :) Just IM And I'll explain it further if you can picture what I sayin

I like the "Turbo" upgrade. Wisssss... Puff! Wisssss... Puff!:D .

I would rig some kind of FET cicut that dumbs extra voltage when it senses full throttle to the car, but that would be hard.:)

I have a crappy mini car I just yanked the chip out of, I'm working on getting it rigged to a battery to zap me... then I can work on getting it into a car.

well you can get a 2 speed bit and put the contoller chip into the xmod controller and put the pcb in the car...then take the pcb hook that up to batteries and the motor wires get hooked up to the battery holders or the pcb itself...confusing right?
