Yep...I'm going for the original skyline blue color on my car.
I've talked to my auto paint guy, and he can get me a can of spray of the color and some clear coat.
Anyone used car paint on these yet?
I was thinking about
400 grit sand paper lightly on the car
primer
few coats of paint
few coats of clear
thoughts/comments?

The sparkles are too big in real auto paint... thats why there is model paint... if you do paint it paint it only blue without the flecks

so any recommendations for model paint to do this?
kinda new to this and arnt too familiar with the stuff

I would choose "testors" spray paint. But I have that tayima spray paint (bad company ;)) is very good.
you dont need to sand the car.
im painting my skyline "mica blue" its made my tayima, Ive heard nothing but bad things from people using testors.

i just painted a model car with testor's an it looks great dont even have the clearcoat on yet
