as you can see, i suck at the masking so i used a sharpie to "fix" the problems....

now i know i can mask better, but even if i try hard wile painting the rest of the car and I get a line, is there a better way to fix the "lines" then with a sharpie?
also what do you guys think of the color?
its Mica Blue with a couple coats of black primer under it.

i like the color but i would put a clear coat on it just to make sure that you have a nice gloss to it. also try to file down the notch on the bottom of the bumper it looks ok just needs to be cleaned up a little. and use real black paint to clean up around the edges. you can pick up a good fine paint brush for about a doller.

Color looks good so far...
I touched up my seepage using a really fine paint brush and some Testor's gloss black paint. It matches better than a Sharpie.
You will get less seepage with the blue masking tape than the normal stuff, and it also works best if you don't have to layer the tape at all. (The stuff I use is 2" wide)
with the primer i didnt get any seepage,
my problems all lie with me masking too much then when im done painting i have a yellow line where i over masked.

Yeah, I see what you mean now. Either way, the Testor's gloss black is a perfect match for the black on the rest of the car.

use an exacto knife or a hobby knife and trim it down after your done laying it out also if you use a small flat screw driver to make sure it pressed in all the way in the holes it will make it easier for you.

I'm new to the site, AND to customizing these cars. Can someone give me the basic run-through on what paint is best, primer or no? , how many coats, and how to make custom decals. I know it's a lot, but you guys seem to know a lot about what you're doing.
