We have all notice that the AWD kit gives you slightly more traction but it does not use the Rear wheels efectively

Ive come up with a solution

Simply remove the RED LSD and install the WHITE lsd... it will make it so that when you spin the rear wheels the front will spin as well. you will loose some speed but it will make driving your XMOD alot more fun...

Limtited Slip Differential.

It's that white thing on your rear axle that allows for one wheel to keep turning with power while the other is stuck.

but the Red lsd is realy a SD lol you can hold your rear wheels and let the front spin with my mod you can hold the front or the rear and neither will keep spinningthe diffs are actually diffrent not just the color like everything else...

The white one is not an LSD, it's a regular open differential. Also you're not the first person to try this, I've had mine like this for about a week now.

what gains do you get for using thwe white one.I have yet to cross back im still using both reds?

You may not see any gains at all, if your ball diff is working properly. Some of us have noticed that the rear diff that comes with the AWD set slips way too much. If yours does this, you can swap to the stock diff and you would see some gains.

with out sounding pethetic how do you notice problems? what to look for? Im used to mini x which is fully 4 wd

I don't know what the problems are, I have the ball diff (red) in back and I can do nice powerslides, suggesting a rear tourqe bias. It is more a personal preference thing. I like the red ball diff.

Something you can try is to remove the front bevel gear, which effectively disables the AWD, making it RWD again. When you start it out, if you can hear the motor rev up but the car's not going anywhere fast, your ball diff is not working properly. If you can, return your AWD set and get a different one. If not, change the rear diff back to the stock white one. You really won't notice too much of a difference with the white one over the red one.

dont LSD lock up to a certain degree?

well, the lsd in these xmod's are ball diff type. the big center gear (forgot what it's called) holds several ball bearings in teh center. on either side are a couple of clutch plates which the drive shafts attach to. better ball diffs can be easily adjusted loose or tight to vary the amount of slip it allows

Wow......Does it really affect speed?

it directly affects traction and indirectly affects speed

So replacing the red one with the white one will decrease speed but increase traction eh?

that's not what i said. i implied that it increases traction and should increase acceleration which means in a given distance it shoudl achieve a higher speed....i'm thinking of like the trap speeds in a 1/4 mile run.
