In the manual included in the Xmod starter kit, it says that the AWD mod decreases runtime and top speed. Is this true and if it is, by how much does it decrease the two?

it's mainly cuz of the drivetrain inefficiencies. i didn't really notice that much of a difference in runtime but speed dropped a bit but the handling improvement balances it out nicely. unless you're going for absolute straight-line top-speed run, it's not too big of a deal

Unless you're drag racing or going for ultimate speed, the AWD upgrade is a must for any kind of turning.

how tough is it to install

Very easy. It includes decent instructions, check the FAQ thread on the main forum (XMODS) and you can download them.

There are the 4 screws underneath the car, you unscrew them, slide out the 2WD and pop in the AWD. The hardest part is opening the back end to put the ball differential in, but that is not required. For the most part, I think motor upgrades may be harder
Oh yeah, I haven't noticed any runtime drops, or speed, but I haven't really been outside on a tennis court much to test it

I had a problem when i changed my motot to Stage 1 it wasn't working. So i have taken this thing in and out so many times already that changing the motor is a piece of cake. It takes me about 25 mins to take the motor out and put it back together.

It may be faster now i haven't really timed myself its a rough estimate. When i get my stage 2 motors i will tell you how long it took.

Will the all wheel drive kit work with 2 ball diffs? How will it affect handeling/speed/acceleration? How about 2 of the planetary diffs? how will it affect handeling/speed/acceleration?

Hey chris nice name, in fact its the best around!!!:D does awd ruduce the turning radius or dose it make the car go faster through the turn?? what else does it do?

All wheel drive-

Improves handling
Decreases speed
lowers run time

with my experience, AWD reduced the turning radius DRASTICALY, the car runs a little slower, but the biggest prob is the turning radius for me...

i took my car apart soo many times already its not funny, i feel like everything is wrong with it, every part seems like its not functioning properly...
