I've got a 1/18th scale F1 Tamtech car from a couple years ago. I added a full set of Tamiya bearings to it. The one thing I remember about it is that the gear diff was only so-so. Has anyone ever seen a ball diff for it? Ever retro-fitted a diff from something else to it? I don't have it here (at the parents' house) so I can't count the teeth on the diff/spur gear. I know that'd be a good first step, though.
I forget what sized motor it uses... Has anyone come up with a good replacement? I think there might have been an "optional" Tamiya black-can motor in the appropriate size, but I kind ouf doubt that I can come up with one (unless I get lucky on ebay). Maybe an appropriately sized Speed XYZ BB motor?
I'll add that this is my first post here... The site looks great! It's going to get me motivated to get my mini/micro RC cars up and running right. :)
