Hey, once you get over the car, you of course realise that the stock motor is poo. The X speed is also slighly tastier poo.
I bought a tamiya plasma dash motor, and modded it a little, added a 5th cell to my car and the figures are.
30w (0.042hp) @ 102,000 RPM
Max speed with 9t pinion, 6x2 FET mod and 5 cells 58km/h or 38 mp/h.
Neodymium's add 600% more grunt, so those figures increase heaps.
The downside is you need to maintain the motor lots.

Can you post for us noobs that don't know how to do this? I looked at a tamiya plasma dash motor on ebay and it says it only 25,000 RPM. How many RPM is the X motor? Also it said If you want to use it on Mini-z, it require use of external speed controller (known as Turbo or Multi FET). How would I do this, and is that how it gets bumped up to 100,000 RPM?

The 25,000RPM figure is given because these motors normally run on 2 cells in a Tamiya Mini $WD 1/32 scale car.
I run my plasma dash on 4 and sometmes 5 cells, thats how i get 102,000RPM.
Think of fets like garden hoses, the thicker the pipe, the more flow.
The X speed motor is around 30,000 RPM stock, and sucks.
i would rather have a little water hose that could shoot out the same amount of water for higher pressure so it would be faster and more snappy its the same as useing the 25000 rpm ike a small hole then more cells pushes faster
