The passenger side rear wheel on my Skyline Xmods is wobbling and it makes the whole car wobble slightly. My car is bone stock right now, and performs fine, but my concern is when I put in faster motors it will not be controlable. Did anyone else have this problem? How was it fixed? Should I return my car?

Thank you,
Old Crow

Sounds like the bushing may be loose or even missing.
Are you able to pull the peg, the one the wheel attaches to?

i took mine apart hoping it was just some hair or a small foreign object but i couldn't find anything, all the bearings are in place and clean. It only wobbles at low speed once it picks up it seems like the wobble goes away. I've tried different combo's of tires/rims/suspension and it still does it. It doesn't seem like its effecting any drivability.

Mine is far from stock though, stage2 red motor, blue springs up front, yellow springs in the back, 4wd, soft slicks all around, bearing kit, 3.0 steering rod, and the batteries pushed as far back as possible. Only thing is i never ran the car stock so i don't know if it wobbled stock or not. (it's an RSX btw).

I guess i will tear it down again and see if i can find something i missed the first time.

You can try the bearings, i think they have a tighter fit than the stock bushings.

The threaded part of the axle, the part the lug nut screws onto is bent. I will have to return the chassie(sp?). There is no way to fix that. Thanks for the help/suggestions.

The wheel nuts wern't going on far enough for me, so I cut the center off, so the threaded part of the axle could poke thru. This cured some of my wobble and made it track straighter. Washers could have also helped with mine, but I couldn't find any that small.

I took my XMODS back, and they gave me a brand new one. The guy was cool about it and could see the problem himself. They were suprised to see it bent like that, as was I.

Now with the second car I got, I put in the batteries and turned the car on and there was smoke and a static sound. That was enough for me, I will return it today. My faith in these are starting to waver. Did anyone else encounter this problem ?

The only serious problem I had was there were no body pieces in the one I bought. I called the store up and they gave me the pieces from another one and it's been good ever since.
