View Full Version : made by Ka Wah
According to some PDF documents at FCC.gov, it seems that ZipZaps are manufactured by Ka Wah Manufactory Limited, a toy manufacturer in China. To access these documents, go to the FCC ID Search Page (http://www.fcc.gov/oet/fccid/), enter 6007001 where it asks for the "Equipment Product Code", and click the "Start Search" button. (Note: 6007001 is the EPC for 27 MHz, and 6007002T is the EPC for 49 MHz, as printed on the rear of the controllers.) On the results page that appears, click on the "Display Exhibits" icon to bring up a list of exhibits. Within the "block diagram" and "schematics" documents, Ka Wah is shown in the lower right corner.
The schematics document may be useful for performing mods, and the exhibits also include a PDF version of the ZipZaps Owner's Manual (https://gullfoss2.fcc.gov/prod/oet/forms/blobs/retrieve.cgi?attachment_id=255942&native_or_pdf=pdf).

Hey that was some great thinking... retrieving the schematics. Only one problem,
i've got no idea what it means  hopefully this will fall into the right hands... me personally i'm better at following directions. I'll pretty much try anything and i'm good with my hands. But the schematics, it's all greek to me.
Thanks for the heads up though, i don't think anyones posted anything like this yet.
Oh btw welcome to the forum :)

Nice about the FCC. Now since Microsizer is FCC certify a pass with its FCC ID number should turn up about the same info.
The FCC IDs for Hobbico's Microsizers are as follows:
IYF2CH400-49R
IYF2CH400-49
IYF2CH400-27
The Grantee Code is IYF, and the EPC comes after it. When you search for them, it is easier to just enter the Grantee Code and leave the EPC blank.

Some one is sloppy who made the document set for the FCC. The block diagram shows a power regulator that does not exist. At least the ZZ one is correct.
The block diagram is intersting since it shows the block diagram of the internal stages in the TX2 chip.
