A week ago I bought the New Yokomo Puchi Maru. After some days I faced some problems with the steering (steering was locking up) and I thought that caused because of low batteries. Unfortunately after changing batteries the problem still exists. Is there something that I could do? Why this happens. Everything looks perfect new batteries on radiocontrol, the charging works great.
I also heard that strakka had the same problem and they replaced his car with a new one.????///\\\\
Please advise.

try wiggling it a little to loosen it up. I had the same thing happen on my Zip Zap SE.

Mine showed up today, and halfway through the first charge it's showing the same symptoms (steering stops working, often locked hard left).
Sometimes power-cycling helps, sometimes kicking the steering motor gets it back to centre, but still won't respond to the controls.

Finnaly I found the problem for steering lock. Try to clean up all the gears. My puchi was full of hair but not visible with the eye. I try to see with a pinacle and I clean the gears. Now works fine. Thanks god

I've completely stripped and rebuilt the steering gearbox, but it still locks up.
Also, while it's locked up, the servo is actually happy with the location it's in - it's not trying to pull back to centre. It feels/behaves more like a servo problem than anything else.
