hey guys,
I just got my zip at radio shack yesterday and I also got my perfection 4.2 and 4.2 pro, and 200 MiAh or whatever battery too. Not knowing that it didnt fit into the new se's. So is there any easy way to get the old, smaller batteries to fit into the new se's? I doubt that bending the contacts out would be enough so would like some solder on the end work? Or would that harm the battery? Thanks for your advice in advance.

You need two old batteries to match the new higher voltage.

whoops sry i meant to make that a thread, but u guys would probably know anyways. I bent out the contacts and got it to fit, so now i need to know how many times to charge it.

A single battery will likely not work. It is only 1.2 volts, the SE needs 2.4 volts.

Is a dual cell possible with a ZZ SE ??? I'm looking for a little more speed/power out of the SE I bought yesterday.

i threw in a 1.2v 210 mah battery and it worked fine.......got the batt frome extrememicros

speed is pretty equal to the stock battery......

i also took out the charging base off one of my controllers....
hooked it up to a digital peak charger.......and charged.....
then slapped it back onto a controller to sync the channel.....
works great.......

are you referring to an SE or the original zips? cuz i kno that the SE's cell is really two button sells shrinkwrapped together in series to produce the 2.4 volts and replacing it wiht a single 1.2 volt cell would make it either slower or not work at all due to the pcb's voltage requirements to make it work

anywayz, i think if you have the small cells for the Layman's mod, you should be able to fit 3 or 4 in teh same space as the stock dual cell in the SE

I believe that it is a SE, he had to sync the channels after peak charge. I guess I will have to hack a controller for a charging base now. I love the performance and run time that a peak charged bat gives.
