i have read some threads on this forum, it seems like you guys need some cheap small propo parts. Take a look at the thread in the zz forum, called 'zipzaps se are here!' they are propo, and only $25.

Keep on trucking!

I had thought about this to, it seems like it would help alot of people get into the 1/87 scale trucks. (I know I would like to)

I wonder if the ZZ-se setup will have the same control as the ones used in these trucks now.Not all proportional controls are the same, some are much smoother (more steps) than others.

well i hear that steering is 8-12 steps, not the greatest. and speed is more, i dont have one yet but i wanted to tell you guys. it uses rack and pinion, with(i think) 7mm motor. another thing is that they are lacking touque with the fast motors, but you guys dont need speed hehe, and there is always mosfets. seems like they packed as much as they could under the shell, they also have headlights and taillights which turn on with forward/reverse i was figuring that you could wire up the headlights leads with the moter, for a small boost, if it would work

I have one and the steering has so much torque that when I turn full to either side I can't move the wheels without breaking it or making it skip gears!

I havnt tested either of my ZZse's out thoroughly yet, but do you think they will be able to turn two 26mm dia. x 18mm wide tires? how about all four?

I'm just curious, no real reason for asking.......it's not as if I'm working on a little monster truck or anything.......yeah thats it.........just curious, thats my story.lol

you mean something like this?

(plz note i did this at 4 in the morning so my spelling might not be right and the picture might be off or even a little confusing)

the "rack" part of the rack and pinion has to be free moving so for the wheels to turn

Engeneer to be

Well sort of like that, no wait just picture a micro(palm sized) TXT and you will have a close idea of what I'm trying to make.

I have the 4 spindles/knuckles made and I have the axle gears pretty much set I just need to finish drawing up the axle halves and cut them.Once all that is done I can work on the easy stuff.

Yeah I got a ZZ SE and was horribly disappointed so I think I’ll rip it apart and make my car in my picture

Yeah it should quite easily be able to turn the tires. and maybe all four if you are moving. At a standstill it depends on your traction.
