I like the Mid so much that I tried modifying it to accept 6-cells, this is still a work in progress...

any update on this? Are you using Mini-X electronics, or just the ESC?


Edit: sorry, I just saw the Mini -x Rx! With 7.2 volts, that thing should fly!! Where are you going to fit the extra cells, or are you going for an Ikinari-Style Sonic 1/2AAACell mod?

no updates yet, I haven't touched it since I posted the mod. Yes I'm using the ESC and receiver from the mini x. I'm waiting for my charger to be fix that's why I haven't completed the mod. I'll keep you posted.....

Yes, I'm from the Philippines. I don't know where to race and been looking for sometime now. I saw a racetrack in powerplant but they cater to 1/12 and 1/10 on road cars only. Can you tell me wear I can race my car?

Hi eacy2c,

You can play with your Mid at the Powerplant. There was a 1/24 race there some time back and the Mid made the Mini-Zs look really slow. The guys at The Hobby Shop in Alabang are considering organizing a race provided there are enough racers. There is a track in Katipunan called Connecticut Speedway. They have a nice huge layout but I rarely go since it's just too far for me. A couple of guys here at this forum and mini-zracer.com are planning to go to the Powerplant one of these days. You can join us if you want. Will let you know when.

Just got in touch one of the guys (rad in this forum) and he said next week. I'll let you know when exactly.
