:ö: brungus,

yes there's a way to increase the speed of this things.. but there are some things you have to consider ;)... first your motor output or torque , a motor this small that feeds on 4.5 volts of juice produce more than enough torque to pull a 1/87 truck in an obstacle course when properly geared, by feeding it with higher voltage output from the esc or gearing the truck/vehicle with a higher gear ratio you could attain higher speed than the usual.. but keep in mind that a higher gear ratio demands could pull higher amps than low gear, the next to consider is the esc... what i used here on my 1/87 6x6 truck, is a modified servo board, limited to 4.5 volts only and to a certain amp load... now a model airplane esc of the same size could take up to 5amps of load, and you could use it with 4-8 batteries without complaint, but it has no reverse :(

i hope this help ;)
