This is my Tamtech collection. Custom shells that come from plastic kits are: '72 Firebird, '82 Firebird, Ferrari F40 and Mad max interceptor. The first one i bought in 1987 has a tremendous scale mileage but still works perfectly :) only the 7.2v battery packs are showing their age <2mn runtime :(

fovea3d, couldn't you make a replacement battery pack? What cells are they?

Me and a couple of friends have six Tamtechs, all in good shape. And an unknown number of parts-cars. The standard 270mAh pack should last 10-30 minutes, depending on driving style.

Most of us use a homemade 750mAh pack, and it lasts... VERY long.

Yes Tinyrc... I know where i can get some but my focus is on mini-z at this time and probably on the new Yokomo 1:27 when i get to know more about them :D
Its not worth buying battery packs for my tamtech if i use them occasionaly... especially because I would rather buy 4 of them for my 4 cars to have complete sets
Ted, my healthier Tampack last 20 rounds at full throttle on my 10 meters track till the car stops...
