I've decided to de-lurk and show off some picts.

http://homepage.mac.com/bootzy/.Pictures/Bit_Char%2DG/Picture%2D12.jpg

It's a cut down of a Accord Wagon. I slammed the front end and added a bra and drop top envelope.

Here are some more pix, lemme know what you think. (http://homepage.mac.com/bootzy/PhotoAlbum7.html)

Wow - very nice job. Could you post some more details about how you made the mods etc.?

I used plain car primer. Then used one of those cheap plastic paint brushes you get at a hobbie shop for 50 cents. Then I put a very thing coat of clear nail polish, the super shiny kind.

Here's a tip. I used Elmers glue to mask off the windows an dlights. It's way easier to paint on the glue and get better edges without the chance of scratching the body using tape and a blade. The glue then dries clear. when You are done painting, it peels right off!

Thanks.

Well, there isn't much to say. I chopped off the top of an Accord wagon with a hot Xacto blade (hobby knife). I laid it upside down and flat on a glass table. poured hot glue and spread it around to fill the back end. Then I used a hot knife again to trim the dried/cooled glue. Sanded it all down. I used hot glue because I was too lazy to go all the way to the other side of town and get putty. Also hot glue is flexible and can take the banging around i give my cars.

To lower the front end, I cut a notch in th body just above the notch where the tab of the chasis attaches in the front.

Patched the outside of that hole with putty; sand.

Then glued on the rear view mirror an brake lights. I used plain super glue.

I used Elmers glue to mask off the windows/lights. Since the areas are so small, doing it w/ tape is clumbsy and annoying. Then I sprayed it w/ primer (plain car paint primer), and brushed on some paint. Then I put a coat of super shiny nail polish.

Waited 2 days, unmasked it.

I then cut the bra/droptop envelope out of black electrical tape and did somespot detail paint work. voila! done.

Maybe on my next mod I will do a step by step pictorial.

Sweet, very sweet. Not a fan of the Accord Wagon body, I must say you increased it's visual appeal to me :D.

The first time I looked at the pic before reading, I thought it was a Ford Mustang Convertible. But very nice job with your accord. I wish they made a Civic and RSX body for the Bit Char-G...
